The Magic of the Ruling Pen, Folded Pen & Cola Pen

The Ruling Pen, the Folded Pen and the Cola Pen are a few of the most unique and versatile tools in the hands of a calligrapher. With a combination of speed and control you will learn how to use these tools to create an expressive style of lettering. Through a series of exercises you will experiment with and learn the possibilities of strokes that you can achieve with these unique instruments. If you are willing to travel on a road away from the structure of traditional letterforms this may be just what you need. I will show you how to make your own custom ‘Cola Pen’ (so named because it is made out of the aluminum from a Coke style can). If you come with a positive attitude you are guaranteed to leave with work that you will be proud of.
