THE SAINT JOHN ‘S BIBLE: IGNITING THE SPIRITUAL AND ARTISTIC IMAGINATION
Tuesday, September 13, 2016 – 7:00 pm – Artworks – 201 Dayton St., Edmonds, WA
This fascinating presentation will focus on the story of the original handwritten and illuminated folios of THE SAINT JOHN’S BIBLE – 16 years in the making – as well as on the production of the extraordinary full-sized Heritage Edition. THE SAINT JOHN’S BIBLE is the first handwritten and illuminated Bible in the modern era. Donald Jackson, the artistic director and scribe for this historic accomplishment, was recently inducted into the Order of St. Gregory the Great, a papal knighthood granted for outstanding service to the Catholic Church.
